3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO CONTRACTS, IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF FIVE HUNDRED
5 SEVENTY THOUSAND, SIX HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS ($570,650.00),
6 FOR THE CONSTRUCTON OF FOUR (4) SINGLE-FAMILY
7 DWELLINGS AS PART OF THE HOME INVESTMENT
8 PARTNERSHIPS PROGRAM; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS,the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, receives an annual allocation of HOME Investment
11 Partnerships Program (HOME) Funds from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development to
12 develop and/or rehabilitate housing units; and,
13 WHEREAS, the funds are to be utilized for the construction of affordable housing for low to
14 moderate-income persons;and,
15 WHEREAS, on September 17, 2017, the City issued Bid No. 17180 to procure Contractors to
16 develop four(4)single-family new constructions utilizing HOME Funds; and,
17 WHEREAS,the following four(4)residential properties have been chosen for construction as part of
18 the HOME Program, in the total bid amounts of Five Hundred Seventy Thousand, Six Hundred Fifty
19 Dollars($570,650.00);and,
20 Craig Custom Construction, LLC:
21 3502 Cobb Street—Ward 6-$149,916.00—New Construction
22 1308 Jones Street—Ward 1 -$143,734.00—New Construction
23 JHL Builders, LLC:
24 Lot 2 Block 1 Hyde Park Subdivision—Ward 1 - $138,500.00—New Construction
25 Lot 3 Block 1 Hyde Park Subdivision—Ward 1 - $138,500.00—New Construction
26 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
27 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
28 Section 1: The Board of Directors hereby approves the use of HOME Funds for the construction of
29 four(4)residential structures as set forth herein.
30 Section 2: Funds for the construction of these structures will be charged to the HOME Program.
31 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
32 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
33 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and

1 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
2 resolution.
3 Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
4 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
