14664 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,664 • 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO 4 EXECUTE THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS TO PURCHASE THE 5 McFADDEN BUILDING,LOCATED AT 615 WEST MARKHAM STREET, 6 FOR THE AMOUNT OF NINE HUNDRED FIFTY-SIX THOUSAND 7 DOLLARS ($956,000.00); AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 8 9 WHEREAS, the City has the opportunity to purchase the McFadden Building, located at 615 West 10 Markham Street,to use as Police Headquarters,including the Property Division; and, 11 WHEREAS, pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. § 14-54-302 (c) (West Supp. 2016) this action is to be 12 performed by the Mayor and the City Clerk when authorized by resolution of the Board of Directors; 13 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 14 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 15 Section 1. The Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized to execute all documents necessary for the 16 City to purchase the McFadden Building, located at 615 West Markham Street, in Little Rock, Pulaski 17 County,Arkansas,for the amount of Nine Hundred Fifty-Six Thousand Dollars($956,000.00). 18 Section 2. The formal legal description for this property shown in Exhibit A to this resolution is as 19 follows: 20 The east ninety(90) feet of Lots 1 and 2, and the east ninety (90)feet of the north twenty 21 (20)feet of Lot 3, and the west fifty(50)feet of Lots 1,2 and 3, all in Block 123,Original 22 City of Little Rock,Pulaski County,with an address of 615 West Markham Street. 23 Section 3. Funds for this purchase are available from the 3/8-Cant Capital Sales and Compensating 24 Use Tax Fund,Account No. 326529-TS52A28. 25 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word 26 of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication 27 shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the 28 portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution. 29 Section 5. Repealer.
