14662 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,662 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH TISCHLERBISE, INC., IN AN AMOUNT 5 NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED FORTY-THREE THOUSAND, 6 SEVEN HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS ($243,750.00) FOR A STUDY AND 7 REPORT WITH RESPECT TO THE POTENTIAL ECONOMIC IMPACT 8 OF EXTRATERRITORIAL EXTENSION OF CITY SERVICES; AND FOR 9 OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock solicited qualifications (Bid No. 17143) for Municipal Growth 12 Management Consultant Services to study the economic impact of extraterritorial extension of all City 13 services that may need to be provided to any part of the Extraterritorial Planning Jurisdiction of the City of 14 Little Rock, Arkansas, should the Little Rock Water Reclamation Authority extend Sewer Collection 15 Service to that area; and, 16 WHEREAS, a Selection Committee, appointed by the City Manager, reviewed the submitted 17 qualifications and selected TischlerBise,Inc., as the most qualified to provide the needed services; and, 18 WHEREAS, a contract price of Two Hundred Forty-Three Thousand, Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars 19 ($243,750.00) was negotiated with TischlerBise, Inc., for a study of all City services that may need to be 20 provided to any part of the Extraterritorial Planning Jurisdiction of the City of Little Rock and for a report 21 and presentation on the potential economic impact on the City; 22 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 23 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 24 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with 25 TischlerBise,Inc., in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Forty-Three Thousand, Seven Hundred Fifty 26 Dollars ($243,750.00) for a study, report and presentation to the Board of Directors with respect to the - 27 potential economic impact of the extension of city services to the Extraterritorial Planning Jurisdiction of 28 the City of Little Rock. 29 Section 2. Funds for this service are available in Account No. 108339-S33A886. 30 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 31 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 32 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 33 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 34 resolution.
