14639 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,639 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER A 4 CONTRACT WITH WATCH GUARD VIDEO,IN THE AMOUNT OF TWO 5 HUNDRED SEVENTY-THREE THOUSAND, TWO HUNDRED FIFTY- 6 NINE AND 41/100 DOLLARS ($273,259.41), FOR THE PURCHASE OF 7 SIXTY (60) WATCH GUARD CAMERAS FOR THE LITTLE ROCK 8 POLICE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS,the City of Little Rock has purchased sixty(60) Ford Interceptor Sports Utility Vehicles 11 pursuant to Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 14,623 (August 15, 2017);and, 12 WHEREAS, it is necessary to place Video Cameras into these vehicles for their use by the Little Rock 13 Police Department; and, 14 WHEREAS,the City is able to purchase these cameras from Watch Guard Video pursuant to Houston- 15 Galveston Area Council Contract No. EF04-17, in the amount of Two Hundred Seventy-Three Thousand, 16 Two Hundred Fifty-Nine and 41/100 Dollars($273,259.41); 17 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 19 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to purchase sixty(60) Watch Guard Cameras from Watch 20 Guard Video, in the amount of Two Hundred Seventy-Three Thousand, Two Hundred Fifty-Nine and 21 41/100 Dollars($273,259.41), for use by the Little Rock Police Department. 22 Section 2. Funds for this appropriation are available in Account No. 325529-72300-F447002 as part 23 of the 2017 Police Short-Term Note. 24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this resolution, which shall remain in full force and 27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 28 resolution. 29 Section 4. Repealer.
