CBC 2016_Retreat Minutes 03 09 2016
The City Beautiful Commission held its annual retreat Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at
3:00 p.m. at Mangan Holcomb Partners in Riverdale. Chairman Ed Peek called the meeting
to order.

The commissioners discussed each committee and the projects and goals associated with each.
It was also decided which commissioners would serve on each committee.

INTRODUCTIONS:
Commissioners and staff introduced themselves and explained their involvement with the
City Beautiful Commission.
Facilitator Julie Robbins takes direction of the meeting and with interaction from the
commissioners the opportunities that were missed in the previous year were discussed.
OVERVIEW OF THE PAST YEAR:
2015 Missed Opportunities:
More nominations for Eye of the Beholder
More deadlines to drive results and actions.
Not spending the T.R.E.E Fund and City’s allocation.
Advocacy / Lobbying involving the CBC liaison to the City Board of Directors, Dean
Kumpuris
Completing and utilizing the CBC exhibit.
After discussion of the missed opportuneness of the past Facilitator Robins directs the
commissioners to consider the priorities of the CBC for 2016.
