3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD
4 A CONTRACT TO BURKHALTER TECHNOLOGIES, INC., IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED SEVEN THOUSAND,
6 TWO HUNDRED SEVENTEEN AND 60/100 DOLLARS ($107,217.60),
7 FOR THE GUNPOWDER ROAD DRAINAGE PROJECT; AND FOR
8 OTHER PURPOSES

10 WHEREAS,Bids were solicited for construction of the Gunpowder Road Drainage Project,Bid No.
11 17015,Project No. 16-4-DR-7; and,
12 WHEREAS, Burkhalter Technologies, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
13 specifications.
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Burkhalter
17 Technologies, Inc., for the Gunpowder Road Drainage Project in an amount not to exceed One Hundred
18 Seven Thousand, Two Hundred Seventeen and 60/100 Dollars ($107,217.60) which is the base bid
19 amount of Eighty-Nine Thousand, Three Hundred Forty-Eight Dollars ($89,348.00), plus 20%
20 contingencies.
21 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the- Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating
22 Use Tax Funds as authorized by Resolution No. 14,310.
23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
24 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
27 resolution.
28 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances,resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
29 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
