3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER IN
4 AN AGREEMENT WITH OPTIV, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
5 EIGHTY THOUSAND, SIXTEEN AND 40/100 DOLLARS ($80,016.40),
6 PLUS ANY APPLICABLE TAXES, TO PURCHASE LICENSE RENEW-
7 ALS AND SUPPORT FOR CHECKPOINT NEXT GENERATION FIRE-
8 WALLS,TO ASSIST WITH THE SECURITY OF THE CITY'S NETWORK
9 LOCATIONS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, pursuant to Little Rock,Ark.Resolution No. 14,171 (August 4,2015) it was determined
12 the City would use Optiv firewall protections and license for the City computer system; and,
13 WHEREAS,pursuant to Little Rock,Ark.,Resolution No. 14,400(August 16,2017),this contract for
14 licenses was renewed, and can needs to be renewed again;
15 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Optiv, in an amount not to
18 exceed Eighty Thousand, Sixteen and 40/100 Dollars($80,016.40), and any appropriate taxes and fees,to
19 renew the licenses and support for CheckPoint Next Generation Firewalls to assist with the security of the
20 City's network locations.
21 Section 2. Funds for this agreement are available in Information Technology Networking Account
22 No. 103030-61330.
23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
24 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adju-
25 dication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect
26 as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the reso-
27 lution.
28 Section 4. Repealer. All resolutions, bylaws, and other matters inconsistent with this resolution are
29 hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency including but not limited to Little Rock,Ark.,Resolu-
30 tion No. 14,171 (August 4,2015)and Little Rock,Ark. Resolution No. 14,400(August 16,2016)..
