3 AN ORDINANCE TO ABANDON A 150-FOOT PORTION OF C STREET
4 THAT IS WEST OF WALNUT STREET,IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
5 ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

7 WHEREAS,the owner of property requests that the City abandon a 150-foot section of C Street that
8 is located just west of Walnut Street in the City of Little Rock,Arkansas; and,
9 . WHEREAS, all appropriate statutory requirements have been met and a public hearing was held on
10 June 20,2017,pursuant to a notice published pursuant to Little Rock,Ark.,Resolution No. 14,571 (June 6,
11 2017); and,
12 WHEREAS,the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock,Arkansas,has not been presented with
13 any evidence to suggest that this abandonment would create any undue hardships;
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City hereby abandons a 150-foot portion of property on C Street that is located just
17 west of Walnut Street in the City of Little Rock,Arkansas, and more completely described as follows: the
18 south five (5) feet of the right of way of C Street lying adjacent to the north property line of Lot 1,Block
19 3, Glendale Addition to the City of Little Rock,Pulaski County,Arkansas.
20 Section 2. After a public hearing the City has found no reason to maintain this easement, nor any
- 21 evidence that the abandonment of this easement would create any undue hardships.
22 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, subtitle, section, subsection, subdivision, paragraph,
23 subparagraph,item,sentence,clause,phrase,or work of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid
24 or unconstitutional,such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the ordinance
25 which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or
26 unconstitutional was not originally a part of this ordinance.
27 Section 4. Repealer. All ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same that are inconsistent with the
28 provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
