14589 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,589 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AMEND LITTLE ROCK, ARK., RESOLUTION NO. 4 14,540 (APRIL 8, 2017) TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO 5 LEASE UP TO AN ADDITIONAL NINE (9) CARS FOR THE LITTLE 6 ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED 7 SIXTY-SEVEN THOUSAND, SEVEN HUNDRED FORTY-EIGHT 8 DOLLARS ($67,748.00), PURSUANT TO ENTERING INTO A LEASE 9 AGREEMENT WITH ENTERPRISE FM TRUST, BY ENTERPRISE 10 FLEET MANAGEMENT, INC., ITS ATTORNEY IN FACT; AND FOR 11 OTHER PURPOSES. 12 13 WHEREAS, pursuant to Bid. No. C17115 it was determined that Enterprise Fleet Management was 14 the lowest responsible and responsive bidder for the Little Rock Police Department to use to lease 15 Undercover Police Vehicles; and, 16 WHEREAS, pursuant to Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 14,540 (April 18, 2017), the Board of 17 Directors authorized the City Manager to enter into a contract to lease vehicles for an amount not to exceed 18 One Hundred Eighty-Three Thousand,Ninety-Four Dollars($183,094.00); however, since that time it has 19 been determined that the Department needs to lease an additional nine(9)vehicles to support the Violent 20 Crimes Apprehension Team,the Special Investigations Division,the Emergency Management Section and 21 the Major Crimes Division for an additional amount not to exceed Sixty-Seven Thousand, Six Hundred 22 Seventy-Eight Dollars ($67,678.00) for a total of Two Hundred Fifty Thousand, Seven Hundred and 23 Seventy-Two Dollars($250,772.00),; 24 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 25 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 26 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a Lease Agreement with Enterprise FM 27 Trust, by Enterprise Fleet Management, Inc., its attorney in fact, for the leasing of vehicles for the Little 28 Rock Police Department in an annual amount not to exceed Two Hundred Fifty Thousand, Seven Hundred 29 and Seventy-Two Dollars($250,772.00), plus any applicable taxes. 30 Section 2. The term of this Lease Agreement shall continue to be for one(1)-year;provided,the parties 31 shall have the right, upon mutual written consent, to extend this Lease Agreement, upon the same terms, 32 covenants, agreements and conditions as set forth in the original Lease Agreement, for up to two (2) 33 additional terms of one(1)-year each, or a portion thereof, at the expiration of each successive term. [Page 1 of 2] 1 Section 3. Funding for these services will be available in the 2017 LRPD Departmental Budget 2 Accounts. 3 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 4 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 5 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 6 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 7 resolution. 8 Section 5. Repealer.
