14540 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,540 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH ENTERPRISE FM TRUST, BY 5 ENTERPRISE FLEET MANAGEMENT, INC.,ITS ATTORNEY IN FACT, 6 IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUDRED EIGHTY-THREE 7 THOUSAND, NINETY-FOUR DOLLARS ($183,094.00), PLUS ANY 8 APPLICABLE TAXES, FOR THE LEASING OF VEHICLES FOR THE 9 LITTLE ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER 10 PURPOSES. 11 12 WHEREAS, on January 27, 2017, the City of Little Rock issued Bid No. C17115 for the leasing of 13 vehicles for the Little Rock Police Department; and, 14 WHEREAS,three(3)bidders responded to this formal bid process; and, 15 WHEREAS, a selection committee appointed by the City Manager met and reviewed the three (3) 16 proposals submitted pursuant to this bid process; and, 17 WHEREAS, based upon the selection committee's review of the technical proposals and then the 18 cost projections of the qualified bids, the committee recommended Enterprise Fleet Management, Inc., as 19 the lowest qualified bidder in this process; and, 20 WHEREAS, Enterprise FM Trust is the financing mechanism of Enterprise Fleet Management, Inc., 21 and Enterprise Fleet Management, Inc., is the attorney in fact and servicer of Enterprise FM Trust. 22 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 23 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 24 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a Lease Agreement with Enterprise 25 FM Trust, by Enterprise Fleet Management, Inc., its attorney in fact, for the leasing of vehicles for the 26 Little Rock Police Department in an annual amount not to exceed One Hundred Eighty-Three Thousand, 27 Ninety-Four Dollars($183,094.00),plus any applicable taxes. 28 Section 2. The term of this Lease Agreement shall be for one (1)-year. The parties shall have the 29 right, upon mutual written consent, to extend this Lease Agreement, upon the same terms, covenants, 30 agreements and conditions as set forth in the original Lease Agreement, for up to two (2) additional terms 31 of one(1)-year each, or a portion thereof, at the expiration of each successive term. [Page 1 of 2] 1 Section 3. Funding for these services will be available in the 2017 Little Rock Police Departmental 2 Budget Accounts. 3 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 4 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 5 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 6 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 7 resolution. 8 Section 5. Repealer.
