21378 IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII 2017021363 PRESENTED:04-06-2017 10:44:09 AM RECORDED:04-06-201710:46:29 AM 1 ORDINANCE NO. 21l ial Records of Larry Crane Circuit/County Clerk PULASKI CO,AR FEE$20.00 2 3 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 36, SECTION 36-513 OF THE 4 CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, 5 ARKANSAS, TO RESTRICT THE PARKING OF CERTAIN MOTOR 6 VEHICLES IN THE RIGHT-OF-WAY IN RESIDENTIAL ZONES FOR A 7 PERIOD EXCEEDING TWENTY-FOUR (24) HOURS; AND FOR OTHER 8 PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, Chapter 36, Section 36-513 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Little Rock, 11 Arkansas,regulates the parking of motor vehicles in residential zones; and 12 WHEREAS,for the purposes of this section of the Code, "motor vehicle"means a passenger vehicle, 13 truck, boat, camper, recreational vehicle, motorcycle, golf cart, all-terrain vehicle, trailer or other similar 14 vehicle; and 15 WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is appropriate to prohibit the long-term parking and 16 storing of certain motor vehicles in the right-of-way in residential zones; and 17 WHEREAS, at their February 16, 2017, meeting,the Little Rock Planning Commission voted 9 ayes, 18 0 nays and 2 absent to recommend approval of the proposed amendment to Chapter 36, Section 36-513. 19 NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 21 Section 1. That Chapter 36, Section 36-513 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Little Rock, 22 Arkansas is hereby amended to provide for the addition of a new subsection (h)to read as follows: 23 (h) For purposes of this section, boats, boat trailers and camping trailers are prohibited 24 from being parked/stored in the public right-of-way for a period exceeding twenty-four(24) 25 hours. This does not include motorized or self-propelled recreational vehicles. 26 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 27 word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the ordinance which shall remain in full force and 29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originallya part of the 30 ordinance. 31 Section 3. Repealer.
