3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO AN ANNUAL CONTRACT WITH THE TREE MARSHALL AS
5 PRIMARY CONTRACTOR, AND JEDIDIAH SAWYER TREE SERVICE
6 AS SECONDARY CONTRACTOR, FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING
7 TREE REMOVAL AND TREE TRIMMING SERVICES ON AN AS-
8 NEEDED BASIS FOR VARIOUS CITY DEPARTMENTS; AND FOR
9 OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, an invitation to bid on an annual contract, under Bid No. 17101-C, was issued to
12 provide annual Tree Removal and Tree Trimming Services on an as-needed basis for various City
13 Departments, and The Tree Marshall, provided the lowest qualified bid meeting specification; and,
14 Jedidiah Sawyer Tree Service, submitted the second lowest qualified bid meeting specification; and,
15 WHEREAS, this resolution authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract to Bid No. 17101-C
16 with The Tree Marshall, as primary contractor, and Jedidiah Sawyer Tree Service, as secondary
17 contractor having submitted the two (2) lowest bids to provide annual Tree Removal and Tree Trimming
18 Services on an as-needed basis for various City Departments;
19 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
21 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
22 the City Manager to enter into a contract to Bid No. 17101-C with The Tree Marshall, as primary
23 contractor, and Jedidiah Sawyer Tree Service,as secondary contractor
24 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are available in the Operating Budgets of the various City
25 Departments desiring the use of these contract services.
26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
30 resolution. services
31 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
_ 32 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
