14500 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,500 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH RHYTHM ENGINEERING, LLC, IN AN 5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED NINETY-THREE THOUSAND, EIGHT 6 HUNDRED FIVE AND DOLLARS ($93,805.00), TO PROVIDE 7 TECHNICAL CONSULTING SERVICES FOR THE UNIVERSITY 8 AVENUE TRAFFIC SIGNAL ADAPTIVE CONTROL SYSTEM; AND 9 FOR OTHER PURPOSES 10 11 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has been awarded a Federal Aid Project Grant 12 through Metroplan and the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department(AHTD)to install a Traffic 13 Adaptive Control System on University Avenue, AHTD Job No. 061468, and 14 WHEREAS, Rhythm Engineering was selected by committee through a professional services 15 Request for Qualifications process, Bid No. 16022, as the most qualified firm to provide consultation, 16 configuration, programming,training, operation,and integration of hardware and software systems for the 17 University Avenue Adaptive Signal Technology Project. 18 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 20 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Rhythm 21 Engineering, LLC, to provide Technical Consulting Services in an amount not to exceed Ninety-Three 22 Thousand, Eight Hundred Five Dollars($93,805.00),to provide Technical Consulting Services. 23 Section 2. Funding for this contract is 80% grant funded with a 20% match and contingency 24 funding from Street Fund Special Projects. 25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 29 resolution. 30 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with 31 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency. 32 Section 5.
