14473 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,473 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO AN ANNUAL PURCHASING CONTRACT WITH FLEET SAFETY 5 EQUIPMENT FOR THE PURCHASE OF EMERGENCY VEHICLE 6 LIGHTING AND EQUIPMENT, WITH AN OPTION TO RENEW 7 ANNUALLY FOR TWO (2) ADDITIONAL YEARS, WITH AN ANNUAL 8 BUDGET NOT TO EXCEED THREE HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND 9 DOLLARS ($350,000.00); AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, an invitation to bid was issued for an Annual Purchasing Contract to provide for the 12 purchase of Emergency Vehicle Lighting and Equipment for use on all City of Little Rock First 13 Responder Units;and, 14 WHEREAS, Fleet Safety Equipment was the lowest qualified bidder of two (2) qualified bids 15 received through the formal bid process;and, 16 WHEREAS, the total annual budget for the Annual Purchasing Contract for Emergency Vehicle 17 Lighting and Equipment not to exceed Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars($350,000.00). 18 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 20 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into an Annual 21 Purchasing Contract with Fleet Safety Equipment for the purchase of Emergency Vehicle Lighting and 22 Equipment for use in all City of Little Rock's First Responder Units, in an annual amount not to exceed 23 Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars($350,000.00). 24 Section 2. This Annual Purchase Order will be for one(1)-year, with an option to renew each year up 25 to two(2)additional years. 26 Section 3. Funds for this purchase are allocated in Fleet Services Special Projects Account. 27 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 28 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 31 resolution. 32 Section 5. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent 33 with the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
