14434 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,434 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH PUBLIC RESTROOM COMPANY, FOR A 5 TOTAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THREE HUNDRED THIRTY-NINE 6 THOUSAND, NINE HUNDRED SEVENTY-NINE DOLLARS ($339,979.00), 7 FOR THE PURCHASE AND DELIVERY OF A PRE-MANUFACTURED 8 RESTROOM FACILITY FOR THE LITTLE ROCK ZOO ENTRY PLAZA, 9 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Zoo conducted a public meeting, publicized through press releases and 12 an advertisement in the newspaper, to obtain public input for a new project for the Zoo, with the result 13 that new public restrooms were needed; and, 14 WHEREAS, Invitation to Bid No. 16123 was published by the City for the purchase of a pre- 15 manufactured restroom building for the Little Rock Zoo Entry Plaza; and, 16 WHEREAS, the Public Restroom Company submitted the lowest bid that met the City's required 17 specifications; 18 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 20 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with 21 Public Restroom Company for the pre-manufacture and delivery of a restroom facility in the amount of 22 Three Hundred Nine Thousand, Seventy-Two Dollars ($309,072.00) plus 10% for contingencies, for a 23 total contract price not to exceed Three Hundred Thirty-Nine Thousand, Nine Hundred Seventy-Nine 24 Dollars($339,979.00). 25 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are available from the Arkansas State Parks Grant funding in 26 account AU 270659 and from the City's Grant Fund in account AU 108659. 27 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 28 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 31 resolution. 32 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent 33 with the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
