RESOLUTION NO. 14,392
A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF REPAIR PARTS
FOR SELF-CONTAINED BREATHING APPARATUS FOR THE LITTLE
ROCK FIRE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Self -Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) is essential equipment for every Fire
Fighter and the City has properly permitted such purchases in the past; and,
WHEREAS, the purchase of repair parts has been required, but until now has not exceeded the
authority of the City Manager to make the purchase without approval of the Board of Directors,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to purchase up to Seventy Thousand Dollars ($70,000.00)
in SCBA repair parts from Metropolitan Fire.
Section 2. Funds for this purchase are available in the 2014-2016 Fire Department General Fund
Account.
Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with
the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
