3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH DEERE & COMPANY, FOR A TOTAL
5 PURCHASE PRICE OF EIGHTY THOUSAND, NINE HUNDRED
6 EIGHTY-SEVEN AND 66/100 DOLLARS ($80,987.66), FOR THE
7 PURCHASE OF TWO (2) JOHN DEERE TRACTORS, FOR THE PARKS
8 AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT, UTILIZING ATHE NATIONAL
9 JOINT POWERS ALLIANCE PURCHASING AGREEMENT; AND FOR
10 OTHER PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS,the Parks and Recreation Department is in need of two(2)John Deer Tractors; and,
13 WHEREAS, this purchase will allow for the replacement of aged Grounds Maintenance Equipment
14 currently accruing high maintenance expenses; and,
15 WHEREAS, vendor selection was made through the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA)
16 Purchasing Agreement;
17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
20 Deere&Company for the purchase of two(2)John Deere Tractors for the Parks and Recreation Department
21 at a total cost of Eighty Thousand, Nine Hundred Eighty-Seven and 66/100 Dollars ($80,987.66), by
22 utilizing the National Joint Powers Alliance(NJPA)Purchasing Agreement.
23 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the Short-Term Finance Account.
24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
28 resolution.
29 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
30 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
