14372 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,372 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO SELL THE 4 LITTLE ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT'S RETIRED BELL JET 5 RANGER OH-58A HELICOPTER, WITH A RESERVE SELLING PRICE 6 OF ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($100,000.00); AND FOR 7 OTHER PURPOSES. 8 9 WHEREAS,the Little Rock Police Department received a Bell Jet Ranger OH-58A Helicopter,Tail# 10 N901PD("LRPD Air-2") in 1997 through the Federal Surplus Property Donation Program; and, 11 WHEREAS,after all Federal restrictions on the use of the donated aircraft were satisfied in 2003,the 12 City of Little Rock received full title to LRPD Air-2; and, 13 WHEREAS,in 2015,the Little Rock Police Department received a 2001 Bell 206B Helicopter,Tail# 14 N54331, through the Department of Defense Law Enforcement Support Office ("LESO") 1033 Program 15 ("LRPD Air-3"); and, 16 WHEREAS,the Little Rock Police Department no longer needs LRPD Air-2 for the City's Airborne 17 Patrol Program; and, 18 WHEREAS, the proceeds from the sale of LRPD Air-2 will fund the removal of specialized avionics 19 equipment from LRPD Air-2,the installation of that equipment into LRPD Air-3 and the painting costs for 20 LRPD Air-3; and, 21 WHEREAS,the Board of Directors supports the sale of LRPD Air-2 for purposes of an airborne patrol 22 upgrade for the benefit of the citizens of Little Rock. 23 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 24 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 25 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to sell LRPD Air-2(SN 72-21124; Class 02-YY-7- 26 153-02; Tail#N901PD)through a public auction or online bid process with a reserve selling price of One 27 Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00); and is hereby authorized to execute all documents required for 28 the sale and transfer of the aircraft. 29 Section 2. Severability. In the event that any title, section,paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, 30 or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 31 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 32 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 33 resolution.
