3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD
4 A CONTRACT TO JUNKIN CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC., IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED SEVEN THOUSAND,
6 FIVE HUNDRED FORTY DOLLARS ($207,540.00), FOR SIDEWALK
7 CONSTRUCTION WITHIN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS;
8 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, Sidewalk improvements are needed within the City of Little Rock to maintain existing
11 sidewalks, and
12 WHEREAS, citizens of the City of Little Rock approved a sales tax which provided funding for
13 these sidewalk improvements,
14 AND, Junkin Construction Company, Inc., submitted the lowest bid (Bid No. 16122) meeting
15 specifications for the 2016 Sidewalk Replacement Program.
16 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
18 SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Junkin
19 Construction Company, Inc., an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Seventy Thousand, Five Hundred
20 Forty Dollars ($207,540.00), which is one Hundred Seventy-Two Thousand, Nine Hundred Fifty Dollars
21 ($172,950.00), plus 20% contingency.
22 SECTION 2. Funding for this project is available from funding provided by Sales Tax Funds
23 approved by citizens of the City of Little Rock.
24 SECTION 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase,
25 or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
28 resolution.
29 SECTION 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
30 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
31 SECTION 5. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
