3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD
4 A CONTRACT TO BURKHALTER TECHNOLOGIES, INC., IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE MILLION, THIRTY-SEVEN
6 THOUSAND, FORTY-ONE AND 20/100 DOLLARS ($1,037,041.20), FOR
7 THE ZOO DRIVE ROUNDABOUT IMPROVEMENT PROJECT; AND
8 FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, Bids were solicited for construction of the Zoo Drive Roundabout at Fair Park
11 Boulevard, Project No. 13-B-3D, Bid No. 16014; and,
12 WHEREAS, Burkhalter Technologies, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
13 specifications.
14 NOW,'THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Burkhalter
17 Technologies, Inc. for the Zoo Drive Roundabout in an amount not to exceed One Million, Thirty-Seven
18 Thousand, Forty-One and 20/100 Dollars ($1,037,041.20), which is the base bid amount of, Eight
19 Hundred Sixty-Four Thousand,Two Hundred One dollars($864;201.00),plus 20%contingencies.
20 SECTION 2. Funding for this project is from the 3/8-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and
21 Compensating Use Tax Funds and the 2013 Capital Improvements Bonds for Streets and Drainage as
22 authorized by Resolution No. 13,699 and amended by Resolution No. 14,269.
23 SECTION 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase,
24 or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
27 resolution.
28 SECTION 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
29 with the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
30 SECTION 5. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
