3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH JANE CONSTRUCTION, LLC, IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED OF ONE HUNDRED SIXTY-NINE
6 THOUSAND, FIFTY DOLLARS ($169,050.00), FOR THE DORMITORY
7 ADDITION AT LITTLE ROCK FIRE DEPARTMENT STATION 13; AND
8 FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, an invitation to bid on a construction contract, under Bid No. 16113, was issued to
11 provide a dormitory addition at Little Rock Fire Department Station 13, and Jane Construction, LLC,
12 submitted the lowest qualifying quotation of One Hundred Forty-Seven Thousand Dollars ($147,000.00)
13 for labor and material to provide work as described in the bid documents;
14 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
17 Jane Construction, LLC, to provide construction work total bid price of One Hundred Forty-Seven
18 Thousand Dollars ($147,000.00), plus a contingence of Twenty-Two Thousand, Fifty Dollars
19 ($22,050.00) for a total cost not to exceed One Hundred Sixty-Nine Thousand, Fifty Dollars
20 ($169,050.00).
21 Section 2. Funds are available from funds remaining in the West Little Rock station construction
22 account, Acct #326519-TF51NO2 and interest from the 3/8-Cent Sales Tax, Acct. #326519-TS51A74.
23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
24 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
27 resolution.
28 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
29 with the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
