14350 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,350 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO CONTRACTS WITH TWELVE (12) ORGANIZATIONS TO 5 PROVIDE SUMMER PROGRAMS TO LITTLE ROCK YOUTH AGES 6 SIX(6) TO FIFTEEN (15); AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 7 8 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing Prevention, Intervention, and Youth 9 Development Programs and services to enhance public safety and community-building, and 10 WHEREAS, the City advertised formal Bid (No. 16111) to solicit proposals for 2016 Summer 11 Programs for Little Rock youth ages six(6)to fifteen(15), and 12 WHEREAS, review committees met and reviewed the proposals submitted, and recommend the 13 organizations listed below for contract awards. 14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 16 Section 1. Contracts for 2016 Summer Programs are hereby awarded to the following organizations: 17 Organization Bid 18 ABC Adolescent Center $19,999.00 19 Boys/Girls Clubs-Mitchell $20,000.00 20 Boys/Girls Clubs-Penick $20,000.00 21 Boys/Girls Clubs-Thrasher $20,000.00 22 Boys/Girls Clubs-Whetstone $20,000.00 23 Centers for Youth and Families-Adolescent $19,992.00 24 Effective Leaders-Kingdom Foundation $20,000.00 25 EMOBA $18,686.00 26 Greater Center Star-CDF Summer School $20,000.00 27 Greater Second Care Center $20,000.00 28 Life Skills for Youth, Inc. $20,000.00 29 Our House Shelter $20,000.00 30 Pfeifer Camp-Females $15,564.00 31 Pfeifer Camp-Males $15,564.00 32 Sipe Ministries(Little Scholars School) $19,954.00 33 Songbird/Baseline Summer Explore $19,911.00 34 35 Total $309,670.00 36 Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to enter into contracts with the above-listed organizations 37 providing summer programs and services, upon approval of the form of the contract by the City Attorney. 38 Section 3. Funds for these programs are drawn from the 2016 PIT Allocation, Account No. 39 S15A621. 40 Section 4. The term of the contracts shall be June 6, 2016,to July 29, 2016. [Page 1 of 21 1 Section 5. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 2 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 3 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this resolution,which shall remain in full force and 4 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 5 resolution. 6 Section 6. Repealer.
