3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
4 A CONTRACT WITH CHI ST. VINCENT INFIRMARY FOR THE
5 PROVISION OF HEALTH CARE SERVICES, WITH CARELINK TO
6 PROVIDE MEALS ON WHEELS TO THE ELDERLY AND LOW_
7 INCOME PERSONS RESIDING IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, THE
8 WEST CENTRAL SENIOR CENTER AND MAINSTREAM
9 INDEPENDENT LIVING SERVICES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS,the City of Little Rock receives Community Development Block Grant Funds from the
12 Department of Housing and Urban Development; and,
13 WHEREAS, in August 2015, the City of Little Rock Board of Directors approved Resolution No.
14 14,178, approving sources and uses of CDBG,HOME and HOPWA Funds; and,
15 WHEREAS,the uses of the 2015 Community Development Block Grant Funds included an allocation
16 for CHI St. Vincent Infirmary, Carelink, West Central Senior Center and Mainstream Independent Living
17 Services;
18 NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to execute a contract with CHI St. Vincent Infirmary for
21 the provision of health care services; with Carelink to provide Meals on Wheels to the elderly; the West
22 Central Senior Center for the provision of activities for elderly residents Citywide; and Mainstream
23 Independent Living Services for the installation of wheelchair ramps for handicapped individuals, with
24 these vendors to service low-income persons residing in the City of Little Rock.
25 Section 2. These services will be funded from the 2016 Community Development Block Grant Funds
26 from the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
27 Section 3.Severability. In the event any title,section,paragraph,item,sentence,clause,phrase,or word
28 of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication
29 shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the
30 portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution.
31 Section 4.Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with
32 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
