3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A GENERAL CONTRACT WITH SHIELDS AND ASSOCIATES,
5 INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF SIXTY-SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS
6 ($67,000.00), FOR THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF NEW
7 WINDOWS IN THE RIVER MARKET BUILDING; AND FOR OTHER
8 PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, On April 12, 2016, the Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau (LRCVB) solicited
11 bids for the replacement of windows in the River Market, located at 400 President Clinton Avenue, Little
12 Rock,Arkansas,with bids based upon a single lump sum contract; and,
13 WHEREAS, four(4) bidders attended, of which three (3) submitted bids, with Shields &Associates,
14 Inc., being the lowest acceptable bidder.
15 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Shields &Associates,
18 Inc., as the lowest acceptable bidder, in the amount of Sixty-Seven Thousand Dollars ($67,000.00), for
19 replacement of windows in the River Market, located at 400 President Clinton Avenue.
20 Section 2. Funds for this project are to be taken from the River Market Capital Fund.
