14332 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,332 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD 4 A CONTRACT TO REDSTONE CONSTRUCTION GROUP, INC., IN AN 5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED SIXTY-FIVE 6 THOUSAND, SIX HUNDRED FORTY-TWO AND 80/100 DOLLARS 7 ($265,642.80), FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO W STREET, FROM GRANT 8 STREET TO UNIVERSITY AVENUE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES 9 10 WHEREAS, bids were solicited for improvements to W Street, from Grant Street to University 11 Avenue,Project No. 13-3-19K, Bid No. 16012.; and, 12 WHEREAS, Redstone Construction Group, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting 13 specifications. 14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 16 SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Redstone 17 Construction Group, Inc., for improvements to W Street, from Grant Street to University Avenue, in an 18 amount not to exceed Two Hundred Sixty-Five Thousand, Six Hundred Forty-Two and 80/100 Dollars 19 ($265,642.80), which is the base bid amount of, Two Hundred Twenty-One Thousand, Three Hundred 20 Sixty-Nine Dollars($221,369.00),plus 20% contingencies. 21 SECTION 2. Funding for this project is from the %-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and 22 Compensating Use Tax Funds and the 2013 Capital Improvements Bonds for Streets and Drainage as 23 authorized by Resolution No. 13,699 and amended by Resolution No. 14,269. 24 SECTION 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, 25 or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 28 resolution. 29 SECTION 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent 30 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency. 31 SECTION 5.
