3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH AMR CONSTRUCTION, LLC, GENERAL
5 CONTRACTORS, TO CONSTRUCT THE BIG DAM BRIDGE
6 RESTROOM, IN THE AMOUNT OF TWO HUNDRED EIGHTEEN
7 THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED FORTY-SIX DOLLARS ($218,546.00),
8 PLUS A 5% CONTINGENCY FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT OF TWO
9 HUNDRED THIRTY THOUSAND, FORTY-EIGHT DOLLARS
10 ($230,048.00); AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS,the City has obtained a grant for One Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars ($120,000.00)
13 from the Outdoor Recreation Grants Program sponsored by the Arkansas Department of Parks&Tourism
14 to construct a restroom at the Big Dam Bridge; and,
15 WHEREAS, The Big Dam Bridge Foundation has raised Sixty Dollars ($60,000.00) for the project
16 through donations from local contributors and businesses,the City of Little Rock will provide Sixty Dollars
17 ($60,000.00)to allow for the development ofthis project with the total amount of funds available for project
18 being Two Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars($240,000.00); and,
19 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock will provide matching funds in the amount of Sixty Dollars
20 ($60,000.00);
21 WHEREAS, nine (9) contractors submitted bids for this work with AMR,. LLC, being the lowest
22 responsive bidder; and,
23 WHEREAS, it is recommend that the City enter into a contract with AMR,LLC,in the amount of Two
24 Hundred Eighteen Thousand, Five Hundred Forty-Six Thousand Dollars ($218,546.00), plus a 5%
25 contingency for a total of Two Hundred Thirty Thousand,Forty-Eight Dollars ($230,048.00).
26 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
27 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
28 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
29 AMR Construction, LLC, General Contractors, to construct the Big Dam Bridge Restroom for Two
30 Hundred Eighteen Thousand, Five Hundred Forty-Six Thousand Dollars ($218,546.00), plus a 5%
31 contingency for a total of Two Hundred Thirty Thousand,Forty-Eight Dollars($230,048.00).
32 Section,2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
33 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or

1 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
2 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
3 resolution.
4 Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
5 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
