3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH ACTION TARGET, FOR A TOTAL
5 AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY THOUSAND, NINE TWELVE
6 DOLLARS ($170,912.00) INCLUDING TAX, FOR THE PURCHASE OF
7 FIRING RANGE EQUIPMENT TO SUPPORT THE LITTLE ROCK
8 POLICE DEPARTMENT MODERN RIFLE AND PISTOL TRAINING
9 ACTIVITIES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS,the current firing range at the Little Rock Police Academy is in need of upgrades; and,
12 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Police Department is requesting approval to purchase firing range
13 equipment that will support the use of modern rifle and pistol training activities in this area; and,
14 WHEREAS,a request for proposals for this equipment was submitted and a total of three(3)bids were
15 received through a formal competitive bidding process, and the lowest complete response to formal Bid
16 Request No. 16106 was from Action Target in the amount of One Hundred Fifty-Six Thousand, Eight
17 Hundred Dollars ($156,800.00) plus tax, for a total amount of One Hundred Seventy Thousand, Nine
18 Hundred Twelve Dollars($170,912.00);
19 WHEREAS,NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
20 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
21 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract for the
22 purchase of the firing range equipment for the Little Rock Police Department Training Academy, at a total
23 cost for the project including tax in the amount of One Hundred Seventy Thousand,Nine Hundred Twelve
24 Dollars($170,912.00).
25 Section 2. Funds for this purchase will come from the Sales Tax—Capital Financing Special Project
26 Fund(TS52A75).
27 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
28 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
31 resolution.
32 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
33 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
