3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD
4 A CONTRACT TO REDSTONE CONSTRUCTION GROUP, INC., IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED EIGHT THOUSAND
6 NINE HUNDRED FIFTY-EIGHT AND 80/100 DOLLARS ($108,958.80),
7 FOR THE ROMINE ROAD SIDEWALK PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER
8 PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, Bids were solicited for the repair and replacement of sidewalks along Romine Road,
11 Project No. 13-6-8A, Bid No. 16007; and,
12 WHEREAS, Redstone Construction Group, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
13 specifications.
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Redstone
17 Construction Group, Inc., for Romine Road Sidewalks in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Eight
18 Thousand,Nine Hundred Fifty-Eight and 80/100 Dollars ($108,958.80), which is the base bid amount of,
19 Ninety Thousand, Seven Hundred Ninety-Nine Dollars ($90,799.00),plus 20%contingencies.
20 SECTION 2. Funding for this project is from the %-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and
21 Compensating Use Tax Funds and the 2013 Capital Improvements Bonds for Streets and Drainage as
22 authorized by Resolution No. 13,699 and amended by Resolution No. 14,269.
23 SECTION 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase,
24 or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
27 resolution.
28 SECTION 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
29 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
30 SECTION 5. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
