3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF A PROFESSIONAL
4 SERVICES CONTRACT TO THE JACOBS ENGINEERING GROUP FOR
5 INSPECTION SERVICES IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THREE
6 HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($350,000.00); AND FOR
7 OTHER PURPOSES

9 WHERAS, it is desirable to award a contract for Inspection Services to assist with the 2013 through
10 2015 Street and Drainage Improvement Program; and
11 WHEREAS,Jacobs Engineering Group was selected for services pursuant to an annual Statement of
12 Qualifications process, Bid No. 15033.
13 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
14 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
15 SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Jacobs
16 Engineering Group for Inspection Services in an amount not to exceed Three Hundred Fifty Thousand
17 Dollars($350,000.00).
18 SECTION 2. The cost for the contract will be funded first from Street Fund Budget in the amount of
19 Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($250,000.00) and then from existing project allocations for the
20 2013 Capital Improvement Bonds for Streets and Drainage and the 3/8-Cent Capital Improvement Sales
21 and Compensating Use Tax in the amount of One Hundred Thousand Dollars($100,000.00) as authorized
22 by Resolution No. 13,699 and amended by Resolution No. 14,269.
23 SECTION 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase,
24 or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
27 resolution.
28 SECTION 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
29 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
30 SECTION 5. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
