14297 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,297 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD 4 A CONTRACT TO BOYLES CONSTRUCTION, INC., IN AN AMOUNT 5 NOT TO EXCEED IS TWO HUNDRED SEVENTY-NINE THOUSAND, 6 SEVEN HUNDRED TEN AND 70/100 DOLLARS ($279,710.70), FOR 7 IMPROVEMENTS ALONG 26TH STREET FROM FAIR PARK 8 BOULEVARD TO HARRISON STREET; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES 9 10 WHEREAS, Bids were solicited for improvements along 26th Street from Fair Park Boulevard to 11 Harrison Street,Project No. 13-01-082,Bid No. 16-002; and, 12 WHEREAS, Boyles Construction, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting 13 specifications. 14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 16 SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Boyles 17 Construction, Inc., for the 26th Street Improvement Project in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred 18 Seventy-Nine Thousand, Seven Hundred Ten and 70/100 Dollars ($279,710.70), which is the base bid 19 amount of, Two Hundred Thirty-Three Thousand, Ninety-Two and 25/100 Dollars ($233,092.25), plus 20 20%contingencies. 21 SECTION 2. Funding for this project is from the Ys-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and 22 Compensating Use Tax Funds and the 2013 Capital Improvements Bonds for Streets and Drainage as 23 authorized by Resolution No. 13,699 and amended by Resolution No. 14,269. 24 SECTION 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, 25 or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 28 resolution. 29 SECTION 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent 30 with the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency. 31 SECTION 5.
