14275 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,275 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO 4 EXECUTE A CONTRACT INCREASE FOR HAWKINS WEIR 5 ENGINEERS, INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF TWENTY SEVEN 6 THOUSAND, ONE HUNDRED TEN DOLLARS ($27,110.00), FOR 7 ADDITIONAL IMPROVEMENTS TO ADAMS STREET; AND FOR 8 OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, The City of Little Rock Board of Directors authorized a contract with Hawkins Weir 11 Engineers,Inc., by Resolution No. 13,726 for Project No. 13-2-32D, Adams Street Improvements; and, 12 WHEREAS, it is desirable to increase the authorized contract amount Hawkins Weir Engineers, Inc., 13 to provide for the relocation of a sanitary sewer to facilitate the project. 14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 16 SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a change order with Hawkins Weir 17 Engineers, Inc., for the Adams Street Improvement Project in the amount of Twenty-Seven Thousand, 18 One Hundred Ten Dollars ($27,110.00) making a new authorized contract amount of Three Hundred 19 Thirty-Seven Thousand, Six Hundred Ten Dollars($337,610.00). 20 SECTION 2. Funding for the project and this change order is available from the 3/8-Cent Capital 21 Improvement Sales and Compensating Use Tax for Streets and Drainage as authorized by Resolution No. 22 13,699 and the cost for the completed sanitary sewer will be reimbursed to the City by the Little Rock 23 Wastewater Utility. 24 SECTION 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, 25 or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 28 resolution. 29 SECTION 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent 30 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency. 31 SECTION 5.
