3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH MUSEUM ARTS, INC., FOR THE DESIGN,
5 FABRICATION AND INSTALLATION OF GRAPHICS AT THE NEW
6 ARKANSAS HERITAGE FARM EXHIBIT AT THE LITTLE ROCK ZOO,
7 IN THE AMOUNT OF EIGHTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS
8 ($85,000.00), PLUS 20% FOR CONTINGENCIES, FOR A TOTAL
9 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED TWO THOUSAND
10 DOLLARS ($102,000.00); AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS, a request for proposals was issued for the design, fabrication and installation of
13 graphics at the new Arkansas Heritage Farm Exhibit at the Little Rock Zoo, which is a new exhibit
14 scheduled to have a grand opening in the Spring of 2016; and,
15 WHEREAS, Museum Arts, Inc., submitted the most responsible and responsive bid in the total
16 amount of Eighty-Five Thousand Dollars ($85,000.00), plus 20% for contingencies, for possible change
17 orders,for a total amount not to exceed One Hundred Two Thousand Dollars($102,000.00); and,
18 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Zoo Board of Governors met and recommended moving forward with
19 the project.
20 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
21 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
22 Section 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Museum Arts,Inc. in
23 the total amount of Eighty-Five Thousand Dollars ($85,000.00), plus 20% for contingencies for possible
24 change orders, for a total amount not to exceed One Hundred Two Thousand Dollars ($102,000.00) for
25 the design, fabrication and installation of graphics at the new Arkansas Heritage Farm Exhibit at the Little
26 Rock Zoo.
27 Section 2. Funds for this project will be paid from the Zoo 3/8-Cent Tax Account, Special Project
28 326659-TS65A72.
29 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
30 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
31 Section 5. Severability. In the event any title, section, ara ra h, item, sentence, clause, phrase,g p or
32 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
33 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and

1 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
2 resolution.
