3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD
4 A CONTRACT TO TOWNSHIP BUILDERS, INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT
5 TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED THIRTY-FOUR THOUSAND, SIX
6 HUNDRED TWENTY-SIX AND 80/100 DOLLARS ($134,626.80), FOR
7 PLEASANT VALLEY DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS; AND FOR
8 OTHER PURPOSES

10 WHEREAS, Bids were solicited for improvements along Pleasant Valley Drainage Improvements,
11 Project No. 13-4-07E, Bid No. 15022; and,
12 WHEREAS, Township Builders, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
13 specifications.
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Township
17 Builders, Inc., for the Pleasant Valley Drainage Improvement Project in an amount not to One Hundred
18 Thirty-Four Thousand, Six Hundred Twenty-Six and 80/100 Dollars ($134,626.80), which is the base bid
19 amount of One Hundred Twelve Thousand, One Hundred Eighty-Nine Dollars ($112,189.00), plus 20%
20 contingencies.
21 SECTION 2. Funding for this project is from the %-Cent Capital Improvement Sales Tax and
22 Compensating Use Tax Funds as authorized by Resolution No. 13,699.
23 SECTION 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase,
24 or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
27 resolution.
28 SECTION 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
29 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
30 SECTION 5. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
