3 A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE PURCHASE OF A WIRELESS X-
4 RAY MACHINE, X-RAY PANELS AND DR PROCESSOR FOR EIGHTY-
5 FOUR THOUSAND, EIGHT HUNDRED SEVENTY DOLLARS
6 ($84,870.00) TO BE USED BY THE LITTLE ROCK ZOO; AND FOR
7 OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS,the X-ray equipment currently being used by the Little Rock Zoo is inadequate,no longer
10 supported by the manufacturer and needs to be replaced. That an invitation to bid was issued and the lowest
11 responsive bid was submitted by Idexx Laboratories for the purchase of an Idexx Elitevision Wireless DR
12 System; and,
13 WHEREAS,the total amount of the purchase prices is Eighty-Four Thousand,Eight Hundred Seventy
14 Dollars($84,870.00);
15 NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to purchase the necessary equipment from Idexx
18 Laboratories for the purchase of an Idexx Elitevision Wireless DR System.
19 Section 2. Funds for this agreement shall be paid from the 3/8-Cent Capital Sales Tax allocation. The
20 City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract for the purchase of the equipment in an amount not to
21 exceed Eighty-Four Thousand,Eight Hundred Seventy Dollars($84,870.00).for Zoo projects.
22 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
23 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
24 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
25 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
26 resolution.
27 Section 4.Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same that are inconsistent with
28 the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
