3 A RESOLUTION TO EXPRESS THE WILLINGNESS OF THE CITY OF
4 LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, TO UTILIZE FEDERAL-AID FUNDS FOR
5 THE UNIVERSITY AVENUE ADAPTIVE SIGNAL CONTROL PROJECT;
6 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, Metroplan has recently approved Federal-Sid Surface Transportation Program
9 Attribution funds for a University Avenue Adaptive Signal Control Project; and,
10 WHEREAS,a resolution of the Board of Directors is required for the City to participate in this project;
11 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
12 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
13 Section 1. The City will participate in accordance with its designated responsibilities in this project
14 as set out in Exhibit A to this resolution.
15 Section 2.The Mayor or his designated representative is hereby authorized and directed to execute all
16 appropriate agreements and contracts necessary to expedite the construction of this City project.
17 Section 3. The City pledges its full support and hereby authorizes the Arkansas State Highway and
18 Transportation Department to initiate action to implement this project.
19 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
20 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adju-
21 dication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect
22 as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the reso-
23 lution.
24 Section 5. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
25 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
