3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH ROSS SPARKS BUILDERS, INC., FOR THE
5 REMODELING OF THE LITTLE ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT
6 HELICOPTER HANGER, CREW QUARTERS AND SURROUNDING
7 AREA IMPROVEMENTS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the firm of Cromwell Architects Engineers, Inc., coordinated Bid No. 15146 for the
10 remodeling of the helicopter hanger, crew quarters and improvements to the surrounding area at 11400
11 Ironton Road for the Little Rock Police Department's helicopters; and,
12 WHEREAS, the sole bidder for this project was Ross Sparks Builders, Inc., and their proposal was
13 Two Hundred Seventeen Thousand,Nine Hundred Twenty-Nine Dollars($217,929.00); and,
14 WHEREAS, funding is available from a State of Arkansas,Department of Aeronautics Grant totaling
15 One Hundred Ninety Thousand, Ninety-Nine and 80/100 Dollars ($190,099.80). Matching funds in the
16 amount of Twenty-Seven Thousand, Eight Hundred Twenty-Nine and 20/100 Dollars ($27,829.20) will
17 come from the State Seized Asset Forfeiture Account.
18 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
21 Ross Sparks Builders, Inc. in the amount of Two Hundred Seventeen Thousand, Nine Hundred Twenty-
22 Nine Dollars ($217,929.00) for the remodeling of the helicopter hanger, crew quarters and improvements
23 to the surrounding area at 11400 Ironton Road for the Little Rock Police Department's helicopters.
24 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
28 resolution.
29 Section 3.Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
30 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
