3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT WITH BURKHALTER
4 TECHNOLOGIES, INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE
5 HUNDRED THIRTY-NINE THOUSAND, EIGHT HUNDRED THIRTY-
6 SIX DOLLARS ($139,836.00), FOR BRECKENRIDGE DRIVE AND
7 GRISTMILL ROAD DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS; AND FOR OTHER
8 PURPOSES

10 WHEREAS, Bids were solicited for improvements along Breckenridge Drive, Project No. 13-4-108,
11 and Gristmill Road,Project No. 13-4-102;Bid No. 15-012; and,
12 WHEREAS, Burkhalter Technologies, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
13 specifications.
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Burkhalter
17 Technologies, Inc., for Breckenridge Drive and Gristmill Road Drainage Improvements in an amount not
18 to exceed One Hundred Thirty-Nine Thousand,Eight Hundred Thirty-Six Dollars($139,836.00),which is
19 the base bid amount of One Hundred Sixteen Thousand, Five Hundred Thirty Dollars ($116,530.00), plus
20 20%contingencies.
21 SECTION 2. Funding for this project is from the %-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and
22 Compensating Use Tax Funds as authorized by Resolution No. 13,699.
23 SECTION 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase,
24 or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
27 resolution.
28 SECTION 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
29 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
30 SECTION 5. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
