3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT WITH JACOBS
4 ENGINEERING GROUP, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO
5 HUNDRED TWENTY NINE THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED NINETY
6 THREE ($252,662.30) DOLLARS, FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR
7 THE NORTH CANTRELL ROAD AT GILL STREET BRIDGE
8 REPLACEMENT PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock has endorsed and authorized a project to replace the old North
11 Cantrell Road at Gill Street Bridge Project,Resolution No. 13601; and
12 WHEREAS, Jacobs Engineering Group was selected for engineering services pursuant to a Request
13 for Qualifications process,Bid No. 14120.
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to approve a contract for design and on-call
17 construction phase engineering services for the North Cantrell Road at Gill Street Bridge Replacement
18 Project in a maximum contract amount of Two Hundred Fifty-Two, Six Hundred Sixty-Two and 30/100
19 Dollars($252,662.30).
20 SECTION 2. Funding for this contract is available from a grant from the Arkansas Highway and
21 Transportation Department (80%) and the 3/8-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating Use
22 Tax Funds(20%)as authorized by Resolution No. 13,601.
23 SECTION 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase,
24 or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
27 resolution.
28 SECTION 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
29 with the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
30 SECTION 5. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
