14179 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,179 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH SUMMIT TRUCK GROUP, IN THE TOTAL 5 AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED NINETY-SEVEN THOUSAND, NINE 6 HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS ($197,950.00), FOR THE PURCHASE OF 7 ONE (1) GRAPPLE TRUCK FOR THE PARKS AND RECREATION 8 DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department is in need of a Grapple Truck for its Forestry 11 Program; and, 12 WHEREAS,this unit will replace an older unit with high maintenance expenses and excessive down 13 time currently being utilized by the Parks and Recreation Department;and, 14 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock received bids for the purchase of the truck, and the lowest 15 responsible and responsive bid meeting minimum specifications was received from Summit Truck Group, 16 in the amount of One Hundred Ninety-Seven Thousand,Nine Hundred Fifty Dollars($197,950.00). 17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 19 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract for the 20 purchase of a Grapple Truck from Summit Truck for the amount of One Hundred Ninety-Seven 21 Thousand,Nine Hundred Fifty Dollars($197,950.00)for the Parks and Recreation Department. 22 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in Fleet Services 2015 3/8-Cent Sales Tax Account. 23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 24 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 27 resolution. 28 Section 4. Repealer.
