3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO MODIFY
4 AND EXTEND A CONTRACT WITH ADVOCACY AND
5 COMMUNICATION SOLUTIONS LLC, TO FACILITATE
THE
6 PLANNING PROCESS AND CREATE A COMPREHENSIVE YOUTH
7 MASTER PLAN FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED
8 EIGHTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($185,000.00); AND FOR OTHER
9 PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing prevention, intervention, and youth
12 development programs and services to enhance public safety and community-building; and,
13 WHEREAS, the City by Resolution No. 14,056 (February 3, 2015), authorized the City Manager to
14 enter into a contract with Advocacy and Communication Solutions, LLC, to facilitate the process and
15 create a comprehensive, sustainable, long-term Youth Master Plan; and,
16 WHEREAS, it is in the City's interests to modify the contract terms and extend the contract period
17 and amount of funds with Advocacy&Communication Solutions,LLC, under such terms;
18 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to modify the contract terms and extend the contract term
21 with Advocacy & Communication Solutions, LLC, to provide planning and the creation of a Youth
22 Master Plan, for an amount not to exceed One Hundred Eighty-Five Thousand Dollars($185,000.00), and
23 extend the contract period to June 30, 2016, upon approval of the contract by the City Attorney.
24 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
28 resolution.
29 Section 3. Funds for these programs are from the 2015 PIT Allocation, account number S 15A423.
30 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
31 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
