RESOLUTION NO. 11,919
3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
5 ASSOCIATES (EPA) TO REMOVE MOLD FROM THE FIRE
6 TRAINING BUILDING;AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the 2004 Bond issue initially allocated $5,075,000.00 for
9 improvements to Little Rock fire stations, and
10 WHEREAS, Invitation to Bid No. 4325 was issued for mold remediation and
11 partial asbestos abatement of the Fire Training building and Environmental Protection
12 Associates (EPA) submitted the most responsive and responsible bid in the amount of
13 One Hundred Fifty -eight Thousand, Five Hundred Eighty -three and no /100 Dollars
14 ($158,583.00).
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
16 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter
18 into a contract with Environmental Protection Associates (EPA) for the removal of mold
19 and partial asbestos abatement for the Fire Training building in the amount of One
20 Hundred Fifty -eight Thousand, Five Hundred Eighty -three and no /100 Dollars
21 ($158,583.00).
22 Section 2. Funds for this purpose are to be allocated from the 2004 Issuance and
23 Reserve Fund and transferred to the Fire Department Improvement Fund.
24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
25 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
26 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining

portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that
are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent
of such inconsistency.
