3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH OPTIV SECURITY, IN THE AMOUNT OF
5 EIGHTY-THREE THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED FORTY-SEVEN AND
6 54/100 DOLLARS ($83,547.54), FOR LICENSES RENEWAL AND
7 SUPPORT FOR NEXT GENERATION FIREWALLS TO SUPPORT THE
8 SECURITY OF THE CITY'S NETWORK LOCATIONS; AND FOR
9 OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, Bid#15150 was issued for the purchase of licenses renewal and support for the City's
12 firewall, and OPTIV Security submitted the only bid in the amount of Eighty-Three Thousand, Five
13 Hundred Forty-Seven and 54/100 Dollars($83,547.54); and,
14 WHEREAS, the licenses renewal and support for the City's firewall will ensure the security of the
15 City's network and support secure connections for the users at remote locations such as Alert Centers,
16 Fire Stations and Parks;
17 NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with OPTIV Security for
20 the purchase of licenses renewal and support for Next Generation firewalls for the security of the City's
21 network locations.
22 Section 2. Funds for this contract are available in the Information Technology Operational Account
23 103030-61330.
24 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
25 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
26 Section 5. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
30 resolution.
