14158 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,158 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH M-B COMPANIES, INC., IN THE TOTAL 5 AMOUNT OF THREE HUNDRED TEN THOUSAND, SEVEN HUNDRED 6 EIGHTY-SIX AND 31/100 DOLLARS ($310,786.31), FOR THE 7 PURCHASE OF ONE (1) ROAD STRIPING TRUCK FOR THE PUBLIC 8 WORKS DEPARTMENT, UTILIZING THE NATIONAL JOINT POWER 9 ALLIANCE (NJPA) CONTRACT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 10 1 1 WHEREAS, Fleet Services is in need of a Road Striping Truck for the Public Works Department to 12 replace an older unit with high maintenance expenses and excessive down time;and, 13 WHEREAS, by utilizing the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) Contract, the City Fleet 14 Services can purchase a Road Striping Truck from M-B Companies at a cost of Three Hundred Ten 15 Thousand, Seven Hundred Eighty-Six and 31/100 Dollars(310,786.31); 16 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 18 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with 19 M-B Companies, Inc., for the purchase of a Road Striping Truck for the Public Works Department, 20 utilizing the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) Contract, for the amount of Three Hundred Ten 21 Thousand, Seven Hundred Eighty-Six and 31/100 Dollars(310,786.31). 22 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the Public Works account which utilizes funds 23 received by the Arkansas Highway&Transportation Department gas tax increase. 24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 28 resolution. 29 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent 30 with the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency. 31 ADOPTED: July 21,2015 32 ATE .
