3 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
4 LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, IN SUPPORT OF THE STRATEGIES
5 OUTLINED IN THE JUMP START 12TH STREET CORE
6 IMPLEMENTATION AND ACTION PLAN; AND FOR OTHER
7 PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Planning Commission with Resolution No. 146 (December 17, 2009)
10 and the Little Rock Board of Directors with Resolution No. 13,067 (January 19, 2010) did support the
11 direction and goals of the 12th Street Corridor Plan; and,
12 WHEREAS, local government encourages and supports neighborhood-based coalitions that develop
13 individual neighborhood organizations, articulate neighborhood views on community-wide issues, and
14 facilitated the planning process;and,
15 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock did request that the 12" Street Core be included as one of the
16 Central Arkansas Jump Start Neighborhoods as a way to help implement the 12th Street Corridor Plan;
17 and,
18 WHEREAS, the Jump Start consultant working with City Staff and area property owners/residents
19 have developed on Implementation and Action Plan for the 12"h Street Core area;and,
20 WHEREAS, the Jump Start 12'h Street Core Implementation and Action Plan provides positive steps
21 for the neighborhood,property owners and the City to take to help revitalize the area;and,
22 WHEREAS,the Little Rock Planning Commission on May 21, 2015,did vote to recommend support
23 of the strategies outlined in the Jump Start 12" Street Core Implementation and Action Plan.
24 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
25 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS.
26 SECTION 1. The Planning Commission of the City of Little Rock does support the vision and goals
27 as expressed in the Jump Start 12'h Street Core Implementation and Action Plan.
