3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD
4 A CONTRACT TO REDSTONE CONSTRUCTION GROUP, INC., IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED EIGHTY-EIGHT
6 THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED ONE AND 32/100 DOLLARS
7 ($288,401.32) FOR THE 8TH AND BROWN STREET DRAINAGE
8 IMPROVEMENT PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

10 WHEREAS, Bids were solicited for the 8th and Brown Street Drainage Improvements, Project
11 Number 13-1-101,Bid Number 15-006; and,
12 WHEREAS, Redstone Construction Group, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
13 specifications.
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Redstone
17 Construction Group, Inc., for the 8th and Brown Street Drainage Project in an amount not to exceed Two
18 Hundred Eighty-Eight Thousand, Four Hundred One and 32/100 Dollars($288,401.32),which is the base
19 bid amount of Two Hundred Forty Thousand, Three Hundred Thirty-Four and 43/100 Dollars
20 ($240,334.43),plus 20%contingencies.
21 SECTION 2. Funding for this project is from the 3/s-Cent Capital Improvement Sales Tax and
22 Compensating Use Tax Funds as authorized by Resolution No. 13,699.
23 SECTION 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase,
24 or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
27 resolution.
28 SECTION 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
29 with the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
30 SECTION 5. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
