3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD
4 A CONTRACT TO REDSTONE CONSTRUCTION GROUP, INC., IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED SEVENTY-NINE
6 THOUSAND, ONE HUNDRED THIRTY-THREE AND 20/100 DOLLARS
7 ($279,133.20), FOR DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS AT WOODLANE,
8 MARKHAM AND VICTORY STREETS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

10 WHEREAS, Bids were solicited for drainage improvements along Woodlane Street from Markham
11 Street to 2"d Street; and along 2"d Street from Victory Street, Project Number 13-1-101, Bid Number 15-
12 006; and,
13 WHEREAS, Redstone Construction Group, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
14 specifications.
15 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
17 SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement for Redstone
18 Construction Group, Inc., for the Woodlane, Markham, 2nd and Victory Streets Drainage Improvement
19 Project in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Seventy-Nine, Thousand One Hundred Thirty-Three
20 and 20/100 Dollars ($279,133.20), which is the base bid amount of Two Hundred Thirty-Two Thousand,
21 Six Hundred Eleven Dollars($232,611.00),plus 20%contingencies.
22 SECTION 2. Funding for this project is from the 3/8-Cent Capital Improvement Sales Tax and
23 Compensating Use Tax Funds as authorized by Resolution No. 13,699.
24 SECTION 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase,
25 or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
28 resolution.
29 SECTION 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
30 with the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
31 SECTION 5. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
