3 A RESOLUTION TO APPOINT RICHARD MAYS, JR., TO A POSITION
4 ON THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE METROCENTRE
5 IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 1 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
6 ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, Metrocentre Improvement District No. 1 was created by Little Rock, Ark., Ordinance
9 No. 12,849(October 16, 1973),pursuant to Act 162 of 1973,codified as Ark. Code Ann. §§ 14-184-101 to
10 -130(West 2004&West Supp. 2015); and,
11 WHEREAS,a vacancy exists on the Board of Commissioners due to the resignation of Odies Wilson,
12 III,and there is a desire to appoint Mr.Richard Mays,Jr.--qualified because he is an owner of real property
13 in the district as part owner of 415 Main Street--to fill this vacancy;
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. Richard Mays, Jr., is appointed to the Board of Commissioners for the Metrocentre
17 Improvement District No. 1 to complete the term of Mr. Odies Wilson,III,who has resigned.
18 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
19 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
20 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
21 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
22 resolution.
23 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
24 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
