3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
4 AWARD A CONTRACT TO REDSTONE CONSTRUCTION GROUP,
5 INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF SIX MILLION, TWO HUNDRED FIFTY
6 ONE THOUSAND, THIRTY FIVE AND 76/100 DOLLARS $6,251,035.76),
7 FOR THE 2015 STERET ASPHALT OVERLAY PROGRAM; AND FOR
8 OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, Street resurfacing improvements are needed within the City of Little Rock to maintain
11 existing asphalt streets, and
12 WHEREAS, citizens of the City of Little Rock approved a bond issue which provided funding for
13 these resurfacing improvements,
14 AND, Redstone Construction Group, Inc., submitted the lowest bid (Bid Number 15115) meeting
15 specifications.
16 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
18 SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Redstone
19 Construction Group, Inc., in an amount not to exceed Six Million, Two Hundred Fifty-One Thousand,
20 Thirty-Five and 76/100 Dollars ($6,251,035.76); Five Million, Six Hundred Thirty-One Thousand, Five
21 Hundred Sixty-Three and 75/100 Dollars($5,631,563.75),plus 11%contingency.
22 SECTION 2. Funding for this project is available from funding provided by Limited Tax General
23 Obligation Capital Improvement Bonds approved by citizens of the City of Little Rock.
24 SECTION 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase,
25 or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
28 resolution.
29 SECTION 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
30 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
31 SECTION 5. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
