3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH LANDERS FORD, IN THE TOTAL
5 AMOUNT OF SEVEN HUNDRED FIFTY-NINE THOUSAND, TWO
6 HUNDRED SIXTY-THREE AND 10/100 DOLLARS ($759,263.10) FOR
7 THE PURCHASE OF THIRTY (30) POLICE CARS FOR THE LITTLE
8 ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT, UTILIZING THE ARKANSAS STATE
9 PURCHASING CONTRACT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Police Department is in need of thirty (30) Police Cars to replace aged
12 units that are accruing high mileage and maintenance costs; and,
13 WHEREAS, the State Purchasing Contract was utilized in order to obtain optimal pricing and
14 delivery options and to provide thirty(30) units to be used within the Little Rock Police Department, for a
15 total amount of Seven Hundred Fifty-Nine Thousand, Two Hundred Sixty-Three and 10/100 Dollars
16 ($759,263,10);
17 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
20 Landers Ford for the purchase of thirty (30) units for use by the Little Rock Police Department, utilizing
21 the Arkansas State Contract, for the total amount of Seven Hundred Fifty-Nine Thousand, Two Hundred
22 Sixty-Three and 10/000 Dollars($759,263,10).
23 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the 5/8-Cents Operating Account.
24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
28 resolution.
29 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
30 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
