14082 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,082 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AWARD A CONTRACT TO ROMERO LAWN 4 SERVICE TO PROVIDE MOWING AND GROUNDS MAINTENANCE 5 SERVICES AT THE OAKLAND & FRATERNAL HISTORIC 6 CEMETERY PARK; TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO 7 ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH ROMERO LAWN SERVICE FOR 8 SUCH SERVICES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, after the Oakland & Fraternal Historic Cemetery Park Board approved the bidding of 11 needed lawn mowing and grounds maintenance services for the Oakland & Fraternal Historic Cemetery 12 Park, a two(2)-step Request for Proposals was issued, and 13 WHEREAS, a selection committee met and the low bidder of the qualified firms, Romero Lawn 14 Service, is ready and willing to provide the needed services. 15 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 17 Section 1. A one (1)-year contract in the amount not to exceed Fifty-Nine Thousand, Eight Hundred 18 Fifty Dollars ($59,850.00) is hereby awarded to Romero Lawn Service, with the possibility of two (2), 19 one (1)-year extensions, by mutual agreement, on the same terms, to provide lawn mowing and grounds 20 maintenance services for the Oakland & Fraternal Historic Cemetery Park pursuant to Request for 21 Proposals No. 15101. The City Manager is authorized on behalf of the Board of Directors to enter into a 22 contract for such an amount for such services, in a form acceptable to the City Attorney. 23 Section 2. The funds for the contract are to come from the Oakland & Fraternal Historic Cemetery 24 Park accounts. 25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution, which shall remain in full force and 28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 29 resolution. 30 Section 4.Repealer.
